V-tex® technology is specifically designed to offer high efficiency scrubbing with liquors containing high concentrations of solids. This could be slurries with double-digit percentage level suspended solids, sticky gelatinous solids formed as a hydrolysis product from the gas-phase contaminant, condensed tars forming an emulsion with or pure phase within the scrubbing liquor, or dissolved salts at close to their solubility limit.
In each of these cases and more besides, the physical characteristics of the scrubbing liquor mean that a packed tower or tray tower could not be used successfully as they would quickly block up, and a simple spray column would not achieve the scrubbing efficiency required for most applications, requiring additional polishing stages. By contrast, the unique design features of the V-tex® provide a clear advantage for robust scrubbing, extending the period between maintenance shut-downs and making that maintenance as trouble-free as possible.
For awkward scrubbing duties, contact ERG’s experienced sales team to find out how the V-tex® scrubber’s non-clogging, dual opposed spray nozzle and packing-free scrub chamber can work for your application.
